In his speech, PM Modi urged Pakistan to dismantle its terror infrastructure, emphasizing that India will not tolerate terrorism in any form.

He also mentioned that while Pakistan requested India to halt the military offensive, New Delhi considered it only after Pakistan promised to cease its provocations.
Referring to the Pahalgam attack as the most "barbaric face of terrorism," the Prime Minister expressed personal pain over the incident and warned that the enemy now understands the consequences of harming Indian civilians.
Meanwhile, the Directors General of Military Operations (DGMOs) of India and Pakistan concluded their talks on May 12, 2025. Although the hotline conversation was originally scheduled for 12 noon, it began around 5 pm. The outcome of the discussion has not yet been disclosed.
The Indian Armed Forces held a comprehensive press briefing on Operation Sindoor, reiterating that India's actions were aimed at terrorist infrastructure in Pakistan, not against the country's army. They assured citizens that all Indian military bases were secured, fully operational, and prepared to address any threats.
Earlier, between May 7 and 10, approximately 35 to 40 Pakistani Army personnel were reported killed in artillery and small arms fire exchanges along the Line of Control. Lieutenant General Rajeev Ghai, Vice Admiral A N Pramod, and Air Marshal A K Bharti jointly announced that Indian strikes destroyed 11 air bases inside Pakistan, significantly damaging their military capabilities.
On May 10, 2025, India and Pakistan agreed to halt all military actions across land, air, and sea. However, hours later, Pakistani drones were sighted and intercepted in various locations in Jammu and Kashmir, including Srinagar, and parts of Gujarat.
Reacting to these ceasefire violations, Indian Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri urged Pakistan to handle the situation with seriousness and responsibility.
