"On Wednesday, May 7, 2025, the Indian Armed Forces launched ‘Operation Sindoor’, targeting terrorist infrastructure in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir, according to an official government statement. Commenting on the strikes, Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri stated that India was exercising its right to act against terrorism. Karnataka’s Minister for Muzrai and Transport, Ramalinga Reddy, instructed the Commissioner of the Endowment Department to hold special prayers at all temples managed by the Muzrai Department in honour of the Indian Army.
This instruction follows 'Operation Sindoor', India’s military strike on terrorist camps in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir on May 7.
The operation is believed to be a response to the April 22 terror attack in Pahalgam, which claimed 26 lives.
“Sending our best wishes to the brave Indian Army for this operation. All Muzrai temples are directed to hold special prayers asking the deity to give more strength to the Indian Army,” Mr. Reddy said in his May 7 order.
