Drone Attack Alert in Chandigarh: Air Force Issues Warning, Public Advised to Stay Indoors
The Air Force Station in Chandigarh has issued a high-level alert after receiving credible intelligence about a possible drone attack. Sirens were sounded across the city earlier today as part of emergency safety measures.
Chandigarh residents have been strongly advised to stay indoors and avoid balconies or open spaces. Following the warning from defense officials, surveillance and anti-drone systems have been quickly deployed across the city. Security forces, including local police and military units, are on high alert.
“We’re taking all necessary steps to protect the public,” said a senior Air Force official. “Please stay calm, follow instructions, and don’t spread unverified news on social media.”
Important government buildings, sensitive areas, and public places are under tight watch. Emergency services are ready, although no hostile drone activity has been confirmed so far.
This is the first major drone threat reported in Chandigarh, and authorities are taking it very seriously. People are urged to follow official updates and wait for further instructions.
The alert will stay in place until further notice.
