On Thursday morning, a loud explosion was heard in Lahore, a major city in eastern Pakistan, according to Geo TV and a Reuters witness. This incident occurred just a day after India conducted airstrikes across multiple locations in Pakistan, escalating fears of a potential conflict between the two nuclear-armed neighbors .


Flight Operations Suspended in Key Pakistani Cities

In response to the heightened tensions, flight operations at airports in Karachi, Lahore, and Sialkot were temporarily suspended. The Civil Aviation Authority of Pakistan announced that services at Lahore and Sialkot airports would remain unavailable until 12 noon local time (07:00 GMT). India's Operation Sindoor Targets Militant Camps

India stated that the airstrikes were in retaliation for the terrorist attack in Pahalgam on April 22, which resulted in the deaths of at least 26 people, most of them tourists. This was the deadliest such incident since the Pulwama attack in 2019 .
